Setting the North Carolina HB2 record straight

The State of North Carolina legislators and Governor Pat McCrory are under assault from a strange coalition of sex activists, the usual leftist suspects and even business executives. The issue that seems to threaten their interests is a city of Charlotte law allowing people with male genitalia to freely use women’s restrooms and locker rooms. State lawmakers decided that was too much liberalism and passed a bill (HB2) that overruled it. (Links below)

The right of women and young girls to choose who they go to a public bathroom with, and preventing their exposure to sexual predators seems like common sense—to those who still have it.

But why do so many people that should know better join these perversions of our culture? This is much more than spontaneous stupidity or support for a noble cause; it is part of a larger planned scheme to overload us with stress, break down our will, and remake us from a new mold.

Our social customs, traditional values and even our laws are being transformed by a few well organized, in-your-face activists on many fronts and their sociopath leaders who progressively have been brainwashing Americans for decades; a lighter version—but just as dangerous—of that used on Korean War POWs and the Chinese people by radical communists.

American journalist David Kupelian exposes how this Leftist-charged revolution is fundamentally changing how Americans think—or don’t—in his 2015 book, The Snapping of the American Mind. Here’s how he describes it:

You see, the crisis-creation strategy of radical transformation encompasses not merely stressing, overloading, and breaking “systems”—this entitlement program or that welfare system, this health care delivery or that border-security system. Rather, the creation of unbearable stress and crisis in our nation is, on a more fundamental level, all about stressing Americans, overloading Americans, about breaking down, rebuilding, and fundamentally transforming Americans.

If you don’t understand this, you can’t even begin to understand the radical left, how it operates, and what it’s doing to America (and Americans).

Recently, I had an email discussion with a 70-year-old female acquaintance. She responded to a blog I posted at this site (https://res33blog.com/2016/03/28/perversion-parades-as-freedom/):

“I still have difficulty with this one. If a transgender man has become a woman shouldn’t she use a woman’s facility? And, if a transgender woman has become a man, shouldn’t he use a man’s facility? It is just breast, vaginas and penises. We all have them one way or another.”

My response:

“I can’t understand why you condone this. We are all born with a fixed gender (look at your birth certificate)—only one of two known in nature; except for some very rare abnormalities. It is bizarre, unnatural and irrational to want to change one’s sexuality. Removing sex organs indicates a serious mental disorder. Why would you want our legislators to allow these people intimate contact at public restrooms with normal women and children?”

Her response:

“Probably because I know transgender people, have talked with them about their issues, their pain and how they are confused about their identity, their lack of self-confidence and maybe because I am a feminist. Being unloved and alone in this world in not acceptable, no matter what gender you are whether genetic or not. No, I am not a lesbian or transgender, but I know about not being accepted or loved because of pretentious people who consider themselves better when actually less because of their own self-righteousness. It is not a matter of condoning, but accepting people for what they are regardless of race, color, creed or sexual preferences. It is not for me to judge, but to accept which is not the same as condoning.”

Notice that her empathy for transgender people comes from her own feeling of “not being accepted or loved” not on the facts of law or the reasons the North Carolina legislature passed HB2. Further, she angrily blames others for personally not being welcomed “or loved”—totally irrelevant to this issue and unjust to people she holds responsible for her unhappiness. Then, she uses discrimination to excuse unnatural, and possibly dangerous, behavior. Finally, although she says she will not make a judgment, she is willing to “accept” the sexual preferences of people no matter how strange—a contradiction.

Sadly, I believe this is an example related to Mr. Kupelian’s thesis that millions of Americans have been gradually brainwashed using crises and stress to create phobias, obsessive-compulsive behavior, depression; mood, bipolar, panic and anxiety disorders. These conditions are described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders used by psychiatrists.

But one of the most extreme of these pathological disorders “is for some reason in the process of being de-pathologized; that is reclassified as normal,” writes Kupelian. That would be the desire of some people to amputate their healthy body parts. Not surprising they “have one of the highest suicide-attempt rates of any population on earth.”

The powerful Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) lobby is behind an effort to rename this abnormal behavior—rather than “gender identity disorder” activists want it called “gender dysphoria”: n. An emotional state characterized by anxiety, depression, or unease. The goal of the lobby is to have this mental disorder “officially and legally declared to be an absolutely normal variant of human identity and behavior.”

This leads radical activists to blame sexual “anxiety” largely on “public ignorance and intolerance.” Thus, they promote the idea of another minority discrimination to divert attention from the reality of the mental illness—and falsely label normal people bigots if they don’t accept this unnatural behavior.
