Not since Lincoln and Northern Republicans waged war on the Southern States to deprive them of independence have we Americans been so in jeopardy of losing the liberties we once cherished.
Central American Indians invade our Southern borders with impunity; Middle Eastern Muslims are carelessly admitted and smuggled into the U.S. with little screening for dangerous Islamic terrorists; and government, controlled by Marxist activists dedicated to “fundamentally change” our culture, brazenly flaunts our laws, confiscates our property, violates freedom of speech and rejects America’s foundational Christian religion.
A frightening number of so-called “Americans” seem oblivious, and even supportive, of these subversive and treasonous activities; content to pursue their meaningless, electronically- controlled lives “fat, dumb and happy.” Observations, studies and reports of indoctrination in government schools and universities reveal pervasive ignorance of history, civics and economics in the mind-numbed products—intellectual reason is out; feeling and texting is in.
At this point, in keeping with current sniveling social expectations, I should apologize for “offending” someone. But I won’t. No amount, or kind, or intensity of language is too much to offend those who take offense at American liberties and traditions. Corollary: there is no defense for the indefensible. We are fighting wars on many fronts: cultural, economic and ideological—government and statists against we, the people.
It’s unbelievable—at least, to most of us older-generation Americans—that some of our citizens vote for people openly subversive to traditional American principles, laws and historical values. Why would Americans support cultural and economic suicide: purging studies of Western civilization from our universities; eliminating Christian and historical American symbols from public places; electing officials who aid and abet the spending and policies of radical leftists in government?—the list goes on….
Since the 1960s multicultural subversive groups who hate the idea of America, its history and Founders have stealthily infiltrated our government, educational institutions, and the press. Marxists now control the federal government, with little opposition. Their mission: to brainwash the children; keep citizens ignorant of history, economics and civics; and promote insidious social ideas that evil is good and good is evil.
National socialists and fascists concentrate on a totalitarian takeover of America because they envy our wealth and freedom. Even the newly elected Pope deluded by these ideologies condemns capitalism that, ironically, offers the greatest hope for poor people to lift themselves out of poverty. He supports government policies to eliminate inexpensive energy that will most hurt the poor—driven by the political pseudoscience hoax of manmade climate change.
In the December issue of “IMPRIMIS,” a publication of Hillsdale College (hillsdale.edu), President Larry P. Arnn discussed “Property Rights and Religious Liberty.” Dr. Arnn notes that the “enemies of property rights” understand that property is closely related to other freedoms.
Marx in the Communist Manifesto realized that overthrowing the age-old institution of property involves “the most radical rupture with traditional ideas”— an intention of Barack Obama when he promised to fundamentally change our traditional system of constitutional law and limited government.
Arnn says that “at the heart of the leftward movement in our government is a claim against property.” Schemes to expand the size and scope of government, tax our wealth and regulate our lives move progressives toward their goal.
Following the Marxist strategy of overthrowing our traditional institutions (already underway), Obama and his minions, in addition to “spreading the wealth around” have supported redefining “marriage”; reversed socially unacceptable gender identities; massively increased the power of the state; violated our constitutional laws; and attempt to replace religion with pseudoscience.
It was reported that soon after his first presidential term began, Barack Obama sent a bust of Winston Churchill, proudly displayed in the Oval Office by previous presidents, back to England. It was an insulting, despicable act, but not surprising. Churchill hated what Obama stands for: the war on independent thought as once waged by national socialists in Germany and communists in the former Soviet Union, “two great tyrannies of the twentieth century” that Churchill confronted.
Churchill believed that “socialists would never realize their ultimate aims without the use of ‘some form of Gestapo’.” It doesn’t take much observation, study and reading to recognize that we are well on our way to accepting that evil in America—the ultimate state power to take our property and social freedoms.
