Islam and us

Exploding bomb-wired belts, live hand grenades, and rifle and shotgun ammunition alarms recently in Paris, France were used by Islamists for their latest wake-up call to Western Civilization. “Let France and those who walk in its path know that they will remain on the top of the list of targets of the Islamic State”—not a good portent for those strolling with the French.

This time the favorite attention-getting activity of “peaceful” Islam seems to have grabbed the interest of, at least, some Europeans. Many EU leaders have seemed oblivious to the dangers of accepting large Muslim populations into their countries.

After the Islamic peace initiative in Paris, French President Hollande went so far as to announce this was an act of war; strange because the French are known for making love, not war. But love is not what Islam is about. To emphasize that point the IS spokesmouths called Hollande “the fool of France.”

Clearly, the French leader is not as understanding and tolerant as is our president. We might expect Obama to call Hollande over for a lesson on diversity—a mission that has worked out so well for our cultural unity and stability.

Pres. Hollande also noted that the attacks in Paris were an inside job. Really? How odd.

Could it be that Muslims welcomed into France, now living as French citizens in 16th Century isolated enclaves under their own primitive laws—where the French police won’t interfere—contributed some “terrorists” to remind the decadent French of Muhammad’s wrath?

Nah, it must be that their miserable lives are the result of French racism, and Muslims are just trying to “make a difference” by “giving back.”

Then there’s the hate and resentment thing: Parisians asked for this because of their satanic ways; members of the Islamic State said so. The New York Times reported from Iraq the day after the Paris attacks. Islamists say this is only the beginning of “the storm.” They believe Paris is the “capital of prostitution and obscenity.” Let’s have none of that.

But, be of good cheer. Islamists make it simple for us Westerners: give up our way of life, convert to Islam, accept Islamic law…or die. This should be easy for Americans; we love choice. We’re all about choice and, especially feelings. But when Muslims rule some Americans had better go into hiding; preferably with our guns and Bibles, as Obama identifies us.

Christians, Jews, women, prostitutes, homosexuals, atheists and journalists who mock the Prophet Muhammad will be targeted for slavery, death…or worse. It’s not clear how the transgendered “community” would fare under Islamic law, but I suspect this class would quickly lose its “protected” status—along with their heads.

So, what us worry? I’d say, yes. Here in the Land of Liberty Muslims have murdered thousands of our people: mass killings in New York and Washington, D. C. and various murderous assaults on our unarmed military (an oxymoron) people and some civilians. And we have homegrown Imams who preach hatred and murder of infidels.

Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan whips his audiences into frenzies of hate. Speaking about retaliation—“a prescription from God”—Farrakhan said to blacks in a Miami Baptist Church last August: “So if the federal government will not intercede in our affairs (not defined), then we must rise up and kill those who kill us (a reference to police?). Stalk them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling.” Can’t we all just get along?

Dan Way reported in the November issue of the Carolina Journal that Obama’s former Chicago minister, Jeremiah “God-damn America” Wright, visited North Carolina last September to celebrate Black Lives Matter, re-stir the reparations pot and remind us of our racist history. We will never come together unless we, the oppressors, pay up. According to Wright: “Without reparations there can be no reconciliation.” He didn’t say how much we owe.

The Rev. appeared at that bastion of progressive tolerance, Chapel Hill. Among other slanderous, hateful comments he is known for Wright accused the North Carolina State legislature of undoing the constitutional right of blacks to vote (apparently he assumes they don’t know how to get identification now required of everyone).

He called Israel an “illegal” nation, presumably because Muslims should occupy its land. And we know they intend to take it and kill the Jews.

Wright presumed to lecture gatherers at a “progressive church” on his version of American history. He thinks distortions of our “dominant culture” cause “people to see differences in others as deficiencies.” Wright says, “We need to learn the faith traditions of others”—he thinks Islam would be a good place to start.

Well, Rev. Wright, during the past several decades we have learned a lot about Islam. Its messengers have been killing our people because we are different and deficient, according to their distorted worldview. But we have deluded ourselves in thinking Islam is a peaceful religion.

We will pay a heavy price for that willful ignorance and self-deception—and, as the late H. L. Mencken used to say, it will be good and hard. He also said, “Democracy is a pathetic belief in the collective wisdom of ignorance.” That may be the reason our Founders rejected a democratic government.
